So we had an incredible time at Koh Samui. Our hotel (Le Meridien Koh Samui) had a pool overlooking Lamai Beach and the amazing blue/azure/turquoise ocean. We spent so much time just lounging by the pool and on the beach and just spending quiet time with each other. Such a great vacation :) Beer, sun, sand, sea, pool, ocean – ahhhh perfect setting.
Pretty sunset by the hotel.
Le Meridien Koh Samui has this nightly lantern festival tradition where we gather at the courtyard at 719pm sharp and release Thai traditional lanterns into the night sky right after dusk. These wish lanterns rise into the sky rapidly, bringing with them our misfortunes, sorrows and worries.
It was a moving and spiritual ceremony – we all fell quiet as we watched our lanterns float into the sky and the contemplative mood was palpable. R and I held hands and watched our lantern float into the inky blackness of the night :)

This beach is dubbed Silver Beach for a reason – when the sun has just risen and is not yet directly overhead, the ocean is like a giant, reflective mirror. So beautiful.
Breakfast time! I eat the least during breakfast (I’m a fatty supper kinda person), so I spent more time watching R devour his breakfast (he LOVES breakfast) than eating, while having a latte with my cakes and fruits. Sunglasses from ASOS here.
Amazing weather.
So happy with this photo. Told R these are the things I want to remember, gazing out on this beautiful ocean, feeling at peace with myself and my existence. I have so much to be grateful for. So blessed. Need to remember that.

Haha his favorite place in the whole world :)
Dress from Mango.
Took a long cab ride halfway across the island, to Taling Ngam beach to dine at Five Islands Restaurant with an exclusive view of the Koh Samui sunset.
Hahaha my hair..

More sunning and doing nothing the next day.
Lunch by the cliff at Dr Frogs. The food here was spectacular, and even more so when paired with the gorgeous ocean vistas on all fronts.

So cute :)

Love this beautiful view. Wonderful wonderful vacation with my other half. Can’t wait for the next one! Thank you Koh Samui for the unexpectedly great weather, the amazing sunsets, the happiness, the love, the memories with R.

Starbay beach: have never seen so many variations of blue in one ocean vista. While the sand is not particularly white or soft, the ocean colors surpass those I’ve seen in Spain or Greece. That is saying a lot. Pictures do not do this place justice! Our pool overlooks this view and really, every time I see it I swoon inwardly and feel so grateful and at peace. Bikini top
