Was in Firenze a month ago with Leeza before Milan and Brussels. Florence is such a quaint city. The cobblestone streets are beautifully (and painstakingly) preserved, and its surreal when you think about Michelangelo or Da Vinci roaming these very streets years and years ago.
Our Florentine friend Marco told us (amidst his narrating romantic stories of the Medici tunnel) Florence is hopelessly fixated on its glorious past, and thus forgoing the present and the future; this might be true…

Oh would kill for some mussels now…
Haha Leeza cutting her pizza with such intensity

We didn’t do much sightseeing in Florence (not really huge fans of sightseeing evidently) but thanks to Marco, we managed to get a glimpse of the real Florence. Didn’t manage to try his wild mushroom pasta, but someday we will. Also managed to do some shopping, partying and drinking (duh, as usual) and most significantly, indulged in some quality time with my best friend in beautiful Florence with its whimsical old-world charm.
… And I’m in Milan right now as I type this – bought tickets to Milan on a whim last night so here’s to another lovely weekend with Leeza :) heading back to St Gallen tomorrow for the last few weeks with my St Gallen homies. As usual, follow on Instagram @xdianachan for much, much more regular updates.
